I've been looking for a cold air intake setup for my 87 b2 but haven't found one yet, has anybody here found one or is there not even one made for these trucks.
Yup, get one for a 95 Dodge Neon. Fits perfectly! you can find them on Ebay. They are always selling them.
Check pics of this exact air intake installed in a Bronco II(it's the red tube on the bottom of the page)
three things..
1: how much does the CAI really help on these itty bitty 2.9's
2: how much does one cost?
3: wolfman i finally found a b2 cooler than mine when i looked at yours. All you need is more spotlights. the soft top looks a little on the goofy side (no offense) but its awesome with it off! We even have the same paint scheme. anyway i just had to make my 15th post so i can email you fellas. take care
wolf im liking the things you've done. I've been searching for a CAI also an fell for the Dodge intake. Also whered you scrounge up that reverse glow panel?

So is it worth it to get a cold air induction,???? can you feel the hp, do you know how much it gains, any dyno stats? Have you had problems when wheeling with water getting into the engine??? Im all for it for hp but could careless about looks if it lets in water to the engine. any input would be greatful
it seems like this forum has gone down, i was trying to follow this one seeing if there was benefits before going out and buying one, and it dosnt have to be just a 95 neon, works with 95-99, but if you are going to do this, shouldnt you make some sort of heat shield or something? seems like you would get a colder denser air intake which would atomize with the fuel better, but idk how you would go upon doing that unless you did some sort of snorkle but it seems like it would require a filter at the snorkle, maybe a ram air would help it, idk what to do, but i would like to know what the HP increase is
Colder air is more dense, which equals more oxygen, more oxygen means you can burn more gas which means more power. If you do a lot of 4 wheeling in water you'll want the source high so you don't get water in the cylinders and hydo lock the engine.
