there are several posts already on shackle flips, do a search.....look in my gallery for some pics

Jason, I'm thinking about ordering the shackle flip kit for the rear and the shackle reversal for the front from Sky Manufacturing. Then going with 4" lift springs front and rear from Skyjacker. My question is do you think the truck will sit level? I was looking at Sky manufacturings site and they claim only 3" of lift for the F-350 but on a Bronco they stated 4 1/2" for the shackle reversal what do you think?

well it all depends.....i have never done a reversal so i dunno. Ho and I are trying to make our own to lift the front up a lil and get a softer ride.

i would get the 4" lift springs for the front, not the back....just cause you can get more flex and better ride from the stock ones.

since i have a 97 f-350, i know how your truck rides....STIFF. if it were me, i would do the rear shackle flip tto get your lift, then put in the 4 inch rear springs to get rid of your stock 4 inch blocks and soften up the ride. the skyjacker springs will ride and flex better than the stock 350 springs, but rememeber youl loose some of tha tload carrying capacity

Thats what I'm thinking to and I don't care about the laod capacity because I'm not hauling much, just some camping stuff. It would be nice to have it flex and ride like a 1/2 ton truck but have the drivetrain of the 1 ton. I'm gonna buy the 4" springs then and do the shackle flip rear like you said. I'm also gonna order the shackle reversal kit for the front. I just hope it would sit level. I e-mailed Sky Manufacturing so I'll wait and see what they say.

I'm so confused, I don't know what to order? Sky manufacturing e-mailed me back and said the the truck won't sit level with the shackle reversal front and the shackle flip rear with 4" lift springs. They suggested going with 6" springs up front and a shackle flip rear and put in add-leaves in the rear. Aren't these 6 inch springs stiff as heck? Wouldn't you think the 4 inch springs would be softer with the shackle reversal front?

i would get the front done up first and then get the rear to match up. i would go with a shackle reversal and 4" lift springs (about 7" of lift) then do the shackle flip in the back and move the front hanger down 3" or so. then if you have to get longer shackles for the rear to make up for a 1-2"

that's just me though

Sounds good. I didn't know there were so many options to lift a leaf spring truck. Ugh its complicated! Thanks for all your ideas. I think what it comes down to is how deep are your pockets.
