I have the chance to buy a Superchips 1715 from a friend for $275.00. He ran it for a week on a Harley Davidson F150 and then sold the truck. He got good results, but I was wondering what I could expect from it with my V10. Any input would be appreciated.
I just installed the 1715 on my 99 V10 tonight. I am only running on the 87 Octane setting, but I have noticable differences. My tranny is shifting awesome, and the truck has much better throttle response (may be due to the tranny shifting correctly) I am going to try the other 2 setting later on, but I think it is my best mod yet. I am running a cat backsystem, and a custom air intake. That is it. Good luck.
I have the 1715 for 2003 v10, Have run all programs, mostly run the Tow-performance program, Noticable difference. I think you need good air intake and exhaust to get the full benifit I run, K&N filter and magnaflow exhaust. I usually run the shift just a little lighter than superchips default, if I am getting on it or towing.
Don't forget to disable your fuel system and I hope you set your Lighting back to stock also.
