I purchased a Predator a few weeks ago and didn’t do anything with it until I got my gauges installed. I wanted to get some stock readings. The other night I hooked it up and read the error codes. I got PO266, and PO603. I cleared them a drove about 250 miles this past weekend. I checked the codes when I got back and now I have PO404, and PO603 (EGR and PCM keep alive memory error). I haven’t noticed any difference in how it runs. I was just wondering if anyone is getting random errors. I think the PO603 is a problem as it keeps returning. I will get them to look at it when I get around to taking it in.
When you clear a code it is not fixing the issues, so it should not change the way it runs correct?????
Am I missing something!
Tim, yes you are correct. What I meant was, even though I am getting some error codes I don't really sense anything going wrong or that the motor is running badly. Does that make more sense? I guess the PCM is capable of working around these issues and keeps us trucking on down the road.
Trouble Codes P0603 and/or P0605:
Some PowerStroke trucks may exhibit codes related to keep alive memory--KAM (P0603); or read only memory--ROM (P0605). P0603 may be set if the batteries or computer are disconnected. On the 6.0 the computer should be reprogrammed with the latest available calibration. Broadcast Message 1076.

You know the sad part about this, if you take it literally the way Ford speaks, every time the bats are disconnected it would get flashed.
My first question is what revision of the predator software do you have...
if not r34, get on their web site and update it firstly...
the new program makes the shifts even betta !
and the codes may be a residual from the first predator versions that REALLY didn't clear all codes... and may have set a few...

I have r33 and my understanding is the r34 was just a cosmetic display change. I will get r34 though. I have not loaded any program with the pred just read codes. I read them a couple of weeks ago and then cleared them. I drove it a couple of times and then rechecked and got no errors. I then took the 250 mile trip and that is when I got the 404 and 603 again. My batteries have not been disconnected.
your right, the r34 is just a presentation upgrade..
I just went and checked mine after running for ever in the 65hp mode- had:
603 Power Control Module KAM error
670 Glow Plug Midule Circuit
2263 Turbo/Supercharger Boost System Performance...
I think the 670 is I NEVER wait on the glow plugs & it fires up right away..
the 2263 is probably because I ALWAYS use the extra power (too much fun)
but I cleared them and will check them after a bit more driving...
No problem !!!
If purple is a programer type like me wwe could start a hour long conversation and most wouldn't recognize ONE English word in the conversation...
You think us computer types talk that way because we're trying to act smart ?!?
HECK no, we're just lazy --- we shorten EVERYTHING !
