I wasn't thinking along those lines. For some reason I had senior moment
Well I cleared my codes last night and finally installed the 65HP setup from the Pred. Only got to drive it to the hardware store but felt the difference. Tranny acting strange but I am sure it will get smarter the more I drive it. Hopefull after the honey-do's this weekend I will get to "test" it and then see if I get any more codes. I may have to take it in anyway, my windshield washers only squirt about one inch up on my windshield.
The Predator has been installed for almost two weeks now. I have checked for codes and everything is fine. It is too soon to report fuel mileage comparisons as yet but I can tell you all that I am definantly seeing an increase even with the little extra "punch" every once and a while. The extra power is sweet!!
The code reading function of tuners is double-edged sword for tuner dealers. Too often people read codes and they don't know what they mean, and we get a call like "I'm getting such and such codes with my Microtuner" and for this example we'll say the codes are boost related codes. Well... duh! You're producing more boost than stock! Or they get a code showing the PCM has been reprogrammed and don't under stand why.....
Its my personal opinion that if you start reading codes the thing you should do first is buy a shop manual that includes descriptions of the codes!

Good Point WM...
The predator gives you a hint at what the code is...
but I also looked at a better description of them on line....
and determined that it's no biggee...
Actually, don't have them. We ran into back order problems with Helm and a local dealership and gave up on selling them for the newer vehicles. Its actually easer for us to get one for an older truck!
