351Windsor Engine Mounts...HELP!!

Hey guys, havent been on for a while...been workin on gettin the truck up but i ran into a major problem. I need the engine towers for a 351W for my truck, its a 1976...the metal that the engine mounts to on the frame...I've called numerous parts places in reno nevada and even one in sac and most of em say there isnt such a part. What am i to do guys...i need some help...alternate engine is not a possibility, i want the 351W. So if anyone knows where i can get a set or if they have one or if theyre the same as the 302 mounts help me out here. I seem to remember that alot of the mounts ive seen were compatable with 289, 302, and 351W. Also i was pretty sure that a 351W was put into a couple of the late 70's year trucks...compatability? Anyways thanx for any input guys...you've all been a great help ever since i joined this forum

They were used in some late 70s trucks I think....
I know that I helped swap a Windsor in a 76 F-150 supercab when I was in High School. I don't recall what mounts we used, but am sure they were bought not fabbed. I think they were the same as the 302 mounts....

I am asuming that your truck is 2wd... if so one from a 302 is perfect.... the 351M/400 works if you file the hole out a little.

if your truck is a 4x4 like mine... I had to use 351m/400 mounts and I had to weld them to the frame as the bolt holes didn't match up

Mines a 4x4, so the holes didnt match up...do you remember if there was room to drill new holes?....what year did you put those mounts in?

I think one or possibly 2 holes matched up and there probally is enough room to actually drill the bolt holes but the problem comes in getting the nut on the back of the bolt since the frame is boxed...... I figured that it was just easier to put the 2 bolts in and weild it up....being careful to not put too much heat to it. 14,000 miles and no problems with it thus far......and keep in mind I did break a motor mount early on while "seeing what the engine could do".....it didn't break the perch so I figure it is solid.

I used 351M mounts out of a 78 my truck is a 76 f-150 4x4.

Maybe some of the other frames are different. mine is an US built truck and the shock mounts mount directlyto the top of the spirng tower.

e-mail me and in a few weeks I can get you some pics... (my truck is in the shop getting a new rear main seal and clutch.....it keeps leaking and is ruining my clutch)
