hey guys ive got a 351w in my 77 ext cab im wanting to swap a Cleveland into it and i was wondering if the body mount part of the motor mount would be the same? thanks for the help
You say 351w in one post, 351m in another. What do you have in your truck? Your vintage is usually the 351m. Bell pattern is the same as the 385 series motors. (370/429/460) The 351w is SBF pattern.
As for a 351c, it is SBF pattern too, so that would work IF you have a W.

i think he was saying he wants to use headers designed for the 351M in this truck for the 351C in this truck. basically using something meant for the purpose he wants, just modified. no pun intended
You are probably correct. Since the 351c is a much shorter deck motor than the 351m, those headers might hang a bit low. And being narrower, some other issue might pop up. Or it could fit like a glove. Measure first.
If the engine mounts on the Cleveland are the same as the 302 and 351w (as the bell housing pattern is) then I don't think the frame engine towers will fit from a 351m.
With both engines out and rubber mounts on engines, measure from the rear face of the block (trans mating surface) to the center of the rubber mount stud. The small block stud is farther forward than the 351m. 7/16" I think.
A true 351C has the same engine mount bolt pattern as the 302/351W, and same small block bellhousing. Or put 351C heads on the 351W, best of both worlds!
