The $700 is only available through my dealership, just outside Rochester, NY. It has nothing to do with Ford, so it's not something your dealer will discount from the price of your truck- unless they want to re-negotiate your deal.

ieee raider, it sounds like you got a good deal, the bedliner is worth about $200 so factor that in and the fact that they gave you the pre agreed upon price for your trade in and you don't have to deal with the repairs, thats pretty good.

Jeff, Thanks to you and this forum I found out that I qualify for the X-plan through work. I have my heart set on an 250/350 2X4 Diesel..

I am planning on talking money with a few dealers starting today.
I am new to the forum and a little overwhelmed with information... What is AQHA? And is there a waiting period after joining to get FTE and AQHA discounts?

Also I have seen you mention being able to get discounts on top of the X-plan price.. Is this only the Ford Rebate? I ask because the dealer I have been working with has multiple discounts on the final window price.. One is the Ford Rebate of $1500 and a second is the local dealers discount to us which is averaging between $4000 and $5000 on the trucks I am looking at.. My salesman says that this ends up being $500 over invoice(but I haven't seen an invoice yet).

Last but not least.. Have you heard if the Ford Rebates are going to go up next month? My Zip is 92110 if you need it to check rebates...

I am sure I am speaking for many of the Newbies on the forum by saying THANK YOU!!! I have learned so many valuable things over the past month of
lurking..

Sorry for the long post but I have so many questions... :-)

AQHA= American Quarter Horse Assoc. Their members get an additional $500 rebate, but it's not compatible with an X-Plan sale. You have to be a member of AQHA for at least 30 days to qualify for the rebate. There is no waiting period to buy through FTE.

Every dealer does it differently. It's our policy to sell for $200 below the best price you qualify for, whether that's invoice, X-Plan, A-Plan, etc... X-Plan price is below invoice on 250/350, so that dealer's comment about "$500 over invoice" doesn't mean much. X-Plan price is printed right on the invoice, and the dealer must show you the invoice to get your exact price. We'd sell it for $200 below X-Plan.

I haven't a clue. Ford never drops hints about incentives; they change when they change. And just because a rebate is currently good till June 30th doesn't mean that they won't change it tomorrow, either up or down.

Thanks Jeff!

I am now armed and dangerous...

I have one last question, The X-plan card my company gave me has a certain dealers name on it. It implies without actually saying that I have to use that dealer. I get the feeling that if the company I work for is elegible for the X-plan then I should be able to use it at any Ford Dealer... Is that correct?

I can answer my own question... I went to three dealers today and all of them will honor my X-plan... I thought that was the case..

Just for FYI purposes I found a 250 PSD set up close to my dream truck with a MSRP of $38,565. The dealers window price was $33,765(minus discounts and rebates). The X-Plan price was 34,013 minus $1500 after tax and license. Which is around $500 below invoice ($752 before tax and license figured in).

Now I gotta work on the price to see if I can get it down some more... I have many more dealers within 150 miles of me.

If not I may take a vaction and drive one back from NY... ;-)
