I think if you do a search, you'll find more info on this forum.
I put in the Ford Gold remote start/security system and am very happy with it. It IS a difficult installation, and the dealers seem to get a lot for it. I like that it integrates so well with all existing functions and maintains the full PATS key security. Also, you won't need to carry two remotes. I don't really know if the aftermarket systems have achieved these things, particularly the PATS; I think their methods of bypass may not be as secure. Many require a "hidden" key to be mounted in the truck.
But maybe security is less of a concern where you live. Good luck!
