Ok maybe im the only one but when i did my rearend swap last year my speedo is way off . I mean if im going 55 it reads 70 and i know even with a 2.73 and 4 speed od im not going a 85 mph at 1900 rpms. Anyone else run into this problem?

You need to change the speedo gear. It just has one bolt that holds the end of the speedo cable into the transmission and then you take the clip off of it to remove the gear. Then go to your local ford dealer and get a different new gear with a different number of teeth. The tricky part is it is pretty much trial and error. You need a gear with less number of teeth because you are over reading. But the exact number you are going to have to just by a new gear and try it out. It can took me three different gears to get it dialed in. You can tell if you are right on by using mile markers. NO don't get out the stop watch. Just watch your odomiter. You see it runs off the speedo gear to. So as you approach the first mile marker just look and see what it reads at the next mile marker. For instance if it reads xxxxxx.9 on the first one and xxxxxxx.5 after one mile then you know it is over reading and need to reduce the number of teeth on the gear. The opposite effect will occur is you are under reading. OH and the number of teeth should be stamped on the gear so you don't have to count the teeth to see how many your current gear has.
