speedo?

Can i use a speedo out of a gas truck? My speedo bounces all the time and i have already changed the sensor in the rearend. So now im wondering if i can just change the speedo and maybe fix the problem. I found a used speedo out of a 96 f-150 on ebay for $12. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can use the speedo as long as you put that into your instrument cluster.

Does the psom just fail or is there a usual suspect first like a bad ground or something along those lines.

FYI
When you swap out the speedometer module you'll loose track of the mileage that was on your truck and the odometer will now display the miles from the donor truck. Ya might wanna write down your mileage before you disconnect the old one.

Yes thats right, and you can reprogram your speedo in the place that TJ linked, to match your mileage (I think I have read that is for law to do that).
