ok. i think this is the last one i have.

across the river from here there is a little island called "grey cloud island" it has a pretty popular name / stories behind it. very easy to drive down the roads, turn around the same way you came in and be completly lost. there is a old cemetary on it. i have heard of alot of white supremicists/kkk kind of stuff going on there, cause its really secluded, probably something those people would like.

anyways one night me and some buddies were bored, and hopping in my old truck 3 years ago and decided to drive to Grey Cloud Island. big mistake. it was a full moon that night. there were 5 of us. first thing we noticed was all the people walking around in the neighboorhood areas, which we thought was weird for a colder wednedsay night. as my truck approached the people, they would step off into the shadows or tree lines, then they wouldnt come back out after we passed.

then, we got lost out in the more secluded areas, alot of open fields, wooded areas. off in one of the fields there was something that looked like about 12-15 jack-o-lanterns lit up in the middle of the field. it was @ 100-150 yards away so we couldnt really tell. it wasnt even close to halloween. there wasnt a house for a 1/4 mile from there. so now we are freaked out cause of all the stories weve heard about this place.

we leave, and get on the highway. cops EVERYWHERE. what the heck? we keep wondering. the highway was closed off. turned out a woman jumped off the 5th avenue bridge over the highway cause her baby died that week and the cops suspected abuse. her body was in rough shape after being hit by a couple cars and a 18wheeler. a kid a few years younger than me from my highschool was one of the drivers who hit the body, i guess he spent a few days in counciling. really messed him up.

that night i will never forget, me and my buddies talk about it from time to time just how crazy it was. i still get the creeps thinking about it.

I have a true ghost story. This happened to me back when I was 15. My family just moved into a 15 year old home in a pretty expensive neighborhood. I know no one died there because, the people we bought it form were the original owners.

Anyway, it was about 8p.m. I went upstairs to take a shower. I went in the bathroom and closed and locked the Bathroom door. So I hop in the shower. I haev been in there for no more than 5 minutes when a Hand, a full size hand with fingers and everything. Stuck through the curtain and tries to touch me. Needless to say I immediately punched the curtain and swung it open. NO ONE was there and the door was still locked. I ran downstairs screaming my head off. My parents and brother were downstairs watching TV. They jumped up and wondered why I was screaming. They still dont beleive me to this day.

That was my ONLY ghost experience!! SPOOKY!!!

I believe in ghosts, as I have had several personal experiences. Of course, I grew up around Gettysburg. When I was about 10 years old, I spent a lot of time at my grandparents house. They lived about 8 miles away from Little Round Top. I would spend the night there on Fridays and Saturdays, and without fail, every Friday night, I would wake up to a woman sitting on the end of my bed around 2am. At first I was really scared, but I asked my grandmother about it, and she told me the story behind the woman. Their house was used as a hospital during the war, and the woman is a nurse watching over her patients. So she was just watching over me as I slept.

My second experience was when I was a senior in high school...we were just about to graduate, and a few friends and I thought it would be cool to sneak onto the battlefield at midnight. (the park closes at dusk) We were sitting on the base of one of the monuments when a really dense fog started to roll across the field below us and the air got really chilly. Then we saw a figure limping up the hill towards us, it wasn't until he got closer that we realized that he was dressed in a confederate uniform and was reaching out like he wanted us to help him. He disappeared about 10 feet away, and the fog was instantly gone. Once we recovered from the shock, we bolted.

There are plenty of ghost stories running around Gettysburg, believe me, but those are the only two experiences I've actually had. Of course, I tried out the story about the triangular field....they say that once you step into the field, all electronic equipment stops working, and cameras don't take pictures. BUT, I took some very nice digital pictures while standing in the field, so I don't know if it's a certain time of day thing, or what.

I've experienced the supernatural before. I'm a believer.

One night I decided to use a spell book to conjure up a spirit - okay a demon to be honest. I was not alone, I had relatives with me, we all held hands and repeated certain incantations (I was actually able to get this book at the local community college library btw). We did not finish the ritual. Across the room items fell off the shelf seemingly by themselves. No one was there. It was too much. I could not finish
- I absolutely refused to. The next night while lying in bed I felt someone get on the bed with me - I felt the actual displacement of weight. I turned the light on and looked around - no one. Went back to sleep with the bedroom door opened a crack for light. Next day I told my girlfriend about it. I got the yeah, yeah, whatever. At this point I let it go, figuring it could well have been my imagination, or my perception may have been off for whatever reason. That same night while I was in the livingroom playing Chess with my brother - I heard her scream. I thought she may have seen a spider (we had huge ones), or burned herself with a lit cigarette. She said something crawled into bed with her. I knew at that point it was not my imagination. She knew at that point I was not kidding. I had to go to bed when she did for the next week or so. I said my prayers to God for His protection and forgivness (these things MAKE you a believer - trust me). This was 6 years ago, and we have not had any problems since - that I'm aware of anyway.

You THINK you wan't to experience these things UNTIL you really do experience them. Just relax and enjoy the "ghost" stories of others, don't EVER go looking for this sort of trouble. I would sooner go 10 rounds with Tyson than mess with an Ouija board.
I know the supernatural exists. My story pales in comparision to those of some people who have used this board. Some people are never the same afterwards. One lady was driven insane by what she saw after using one. I cannot say what she saw- it would be an abomination to do so.

Not really a ghost story but some odd things. In my last two homes that I have lived in with my parents I have not been able to sleep with out a my t.v or radio on. Whenever it's silent at night I will start to hear voices nothing clear just like the t.v was on a news cast and I couldn't hear it all. I would get up and walk around my entire house to see if there was anything and there was nothing. The other is that in the last house my parents lived in which from what I could tell the original owners had just moved out when we moved in I would sometimes feel like I was being wacthed. I wouldn't see anyone but, I sure as hell would feel like somone else was there. Never really scared but it didn't make me comfortable it just felt like someone else was there.
I will talk to one of my exs as soon as I can and get some from her. She lives in a haunted house and has several stories.

Once me, a girl I was dating, another friend, and my a good friend and the girl he was dating went out to a place called crazymans. We had two trucks, mine, which me my girl and my friend were in and then my other friends and his girl was in there with him. Well theres kinda 2 "crazyman" places. One is the water tower and the other is a place called Hawkwood. Hawkwood was an old rennosaince (sp*?) fair out in the woods. Well for some reason it was abandoned, litteraly. Its like they all up and left without taking anything. Well you can drive down there (its torn down now ) but if you have a small enough truck you can drive through the fair where the people would normally walk. Its said to be haunted. We decided to take a trip down there. There have been stories of peoples cars being attacked also. Sometime cults used to meet out there. One story is a kid from our school drove his cadilac out there and someone jumped out and stabbed a machette through his radiator, then attacked the kid. Well I drove my truck in the fair grounds as far as I could and then backed in to a little grassy area so that I could easily leave. Then the 3 of us in my truck got out and hopped in the back of my friends S10 cause it was small enough to drive through the whole thing. Well we got about halfway through and me and my friend saw somthin in the bushes, we looked and looked, then all of a sudden we see a shadow jump out and run behind a building. Then to the right we see 3 more shadows meet up with him. At this point my girl was pratically on top of me and I had gotten out my knife JUST in case. So my friend drivin the S10 hauled **** and got back around to my truck. We hopped in and took off. My friend had to keep driving straight and go back around through cause he couldnt turn around, not enough room. So we waited in the gravel area where people would park. I get a call from him saying that hes lost. So I drove to the entrance and flashed my brights into the grounds so that maybe he could see my lights and know which direction to head in. The whole time I had my truck in reverse and my foot on the brake just in case. Well my girl spots those shadows agian. Im startin to really wonder where the hell those shadows came from cause I didnt see any cars out here at all, and you cant just walk out there. Well the shadows get closer and one just seems to dissapear, Im like umm time to leave? Then the girl screams and points to the front of the truck, theres a guy (cant see features just a dark figure) and I see something shiney in his hand, it was either a mechette or a long piece of metal. He raised it up and at that time I floored it in reverse and tore off. Right at that time my friend had found his way out and came speeding out, barely missing the guy (or what ever it was). Well on the way out there you have go go down gravel roads for about 2 miles to get there and there kinda easy to get lost on. So we take off and this truck pulls infront of me and at this time I get really "aggitated". Im doing all I can to keep a level head and not panic cause Im driving. Well this truck starts taking up the whole road and starts to slow down. Then another car pulls up behind my friend in his S10 and is riding his ****. I think they were trying to box us in, I dunno, I wasnt going to find out. I took off around the side through a ditch, and forced the truck over just enough to let my friend by. Man we tore off so fast, I was goin alot faster than my truck shoulda been goin on those gravel roads. It was something I will never forget.
Heres the crazy man story.

Roanoke - crazy man's - it is said that years ago a rich man had bought a lot of land that had an old water tower on it and was over grown with weeds and trees. After clearing all the rubble he had stone built around the water tower and a clock face put in to bring up the property value, and paved the roads (some with cobble stone), the land wasn't done settling and the roads crack and the land was uneven so he went crazy and murdered his family & buried the kids under a near by bridge. Then hanging his wife from the banister of their house. the house was struck by lightning and has burned down. but rumor has it that if you park on the bridge turn your lights off and honk the horn three times his daughter will appear to you. The most haunted part of the land is the tower (which also has burned down) all that stands now is an empty shell. If one drives up to it and looks at the top you will be able to see the son, who is a watcher to make sure nothing evil harms the living (to protect you from his dad.)

The bridge it talks about you have to go over to get to Hawkwood. Its just big enough for one car at a time. But its there. Ive tried the honking and stuff like it says and nothing happened. My girl says she saw something but I didnt. But rumor is that when you shut your truck and lights off and honk that it wont start back up. But being ole reliable that she is, she started right up, thank god.

Well....I think I might have gotten a little taste of this kinda thing last night. I was in my room(which used to be my Grandfather's room) going to sleep, well right when I was about to be totally out, I felt a hand touch me on my right hand shoulder, and then the sheets and blankets were kinda pulled up over my shoulder, so as to keep me warm I guess. But that wasn't the end of it.....

I had been asleep for a few hours, when I was woken(sp?,is it even a word??lol) up by the sound of the door rattling, like someone was trying to get in or out. So I just lay there for a few minutes hoping it will go away, and apparently I fell back asleep. Well a few hours after that, it happened again, I woke up to the same noise. Later when I got up, I thought of something. That was the first time since I have been sleeping in the room that I locked the door, maybe it was my Papa trying to get out?? Who knows, a little freaky, but it wasn't too bad.

I've actually slept overnight on the USS Hornet (aircraft carrier) and the guides we had on board with us told us a lot of freaky things that occur on board. For example, in the main left corridor that runs along the entire length of the ship, the guides have heard footsteps running and approaching, and then moving past them, like a battlestations call.
One person was actually knocked off his feet by the ghosts running past. Also, things will be randomly dropped in very noisy parts of the ship in the middle of the night, and you can image how loud that is in an all steel ship. I never experienced any of these things but the men who are caretakers of the ship believe in all this.

Well, I asked my buddy if he had any freaky stories. Here is his story. This is TRUE!!

When he was about 10 his family moved into a new development area. THere were only 3 houses built when he moved in. Each house was about 100 yards apart. In all those three houses there were about 2 kids living in each home. ALl 3 families decided to have a bbQ outside one night. THey all met at the middle house. For light the all parked there cars and turned on teh headlights.

THe 6 kids decided to go off by the last house where there was no light and play hide and seek. Well, they all hid and my buddy was the one that had to find them. It was absolutely PITCH BLACK out there. Only my buddy had a flash light. Off in front of the last house was a alfalfa patch where there was farming going on. 4 of the kids hid under the portch of the last house. ANother kid hid out in teh alfalfa patch. My buddy found the kids under the portch ina few minutes. THen all the kids went out looking to find the last kid.

THey looked all around the last house. It has been over 15 minutes w/out finding the last kid. THen all of a sudden the last kid comes running towards my buddy and the other kids that were looking for him. He said that soething in the field was standing over him and breathing. He said he couldnt see it because ot was too dark. They all tried yelling for there parents but they couldnt hear them becuase the last house was too far away. So my buddy being the oldest at the time decided he would go and see what is in the field. All the other kids hid under the porch. So my buddy began to walk into the field. He had his flashlight on. He shined in in the field and caught TWO glistening eyes in the beam of his light. He bolted back under the porch with the rest of the kids. They were all too scared to walk 200 yards back to there parents in the dark.

So they stayed there for about 3 minutes when they heard foot steps on the porch. My buddy whispered for everyone to be quiet. So everyone stayed quiet. A few kids were crying. Who ever was on the prch jumped off the porch onto the dirt ground. My buddy doing a dumb thing turned on his flashlight to see where the feet of this person were. It turned out the feet were directly in front of the porch. No more than 2 seconds after he turned the light on, whoever was there dropped to the ground and looked under the porch. My buddy and all teh kids saw its face cause the flashlight was on. The things face was covered in a thick beard and cuts and infection puss bubbles. My buddy then hit the thing in the face with the flashlight and the thing let out a big scream. Then all the kids went running as fast as they could out the other side of the proch. My buddy was the last one out the porch. The whoel time he was running back he heard the "guy" behind him breathing hard and his foot steps against the ground. As the approached the parents and teh cars, the thing threw the flashlight through the window of one of the cars. It then took out inot the field.

THe kids were fine and told there parents what happened. The dads got there guns and went out looking for the so called guy. About two miles into the field they came across an OLD cemetary. No one knew it was there. Long story short no one ever found this guy again and about a few months later EVERYONE moved out of the area. THIS IS A TRUE STORY!!!

I got one: In Tallahassee there is an abandoned hospital out towards the edge of town surrounded by a whole bunch of other newer medical buildings and doctors' offices. well originally it was built in the 40s as a teberculosis hospital to try and research the disease. well, seeing as how they found a treatment for it they really didn't have much use for it as a teberculosis hospital anymore. so this mental hospital in orlando called Sunland buses up i think it was 4 or 5 kids who were patients there and they named the hospital up here in tally Sunland after the one in orlando. Well while the Sunland up here was in use there were cruel treatments that were used for the patients like shock therapy and reports of neglect and whatnot. but in the late 70s i think the hospital was shut down without reason. all the patients were taken to other hospitals and the employees were moved to different jobs and very few people talk about the closure, the state legislature won't even say why it was closed. but there are reports of starnge "happenings" in and around the hospital. lights turning on and off in there and there is no electrical service to the building, sounds of children laughing, footsteps, batteries on cell phones and flashlights have been known to drain completely, even when they are fully charged, cars sometimes tend to not start after they have been turned off. it's really freaky lookin, the building is all over grown and falling apart. i can personally say that when i drove by there one night with my friend before we got passed the front of the hospital some black form, didn't really have a definate shape, passed from the hospital across the street to the old storage sheds used by the hospital....needless to say we bolted. if anyone wants to see pictures of the building during the day then shoot me an email and i'll send them to you...there are more haunted areas around tally, even a dorm on campus at FSU is haunted.
