Glow Plug Wiring

Does anyone know who sells the glow plug wiring? The wiring from the controller to the glow plugs on my 93 7.3 is shot. The Ford dealer in Austin said they weren't available? That seems strange to me, I'm going to check with another dealer to be sure.

Hey, That does seem very strange. If any one was going to have the plug wiring I would think it would be the dealer. I'm not to fond of buying parts from dealers. Here is a link some one gave me for diesel parts. I haven't checked it out yet but, they are supposed to be real helpful.

Good Luck!

What's wrong with the wiring? I'm pretty sure the only place you can det new wiring is from the dealer, but I here its really expensive . You might want to try a junk yard.

I just bought one for mine in December, and a guy that works with me got one for his last month. Cost me about 187.52 for the harness which is for all the wires on the engine, glow plugs, IP, oil pressure, temp guage, temp light, fast idle sensor.

FOTZ-9A451-A is the part number.

seesm odd, I got my 91 at the ford dealer in dallas without a problem, though the first one did not have it in stock he refered me to the close by one that had it in stock, if you like I can make a quick stop there tomorow and ask them if they have one for a 94 and let you know... maybe they would be willing to ship it to your dealer (GRIN) for you to pick it up.

Theb aren't spade connectors. They are round, probably made by AMP or Amphenol or Molex or who knows?

I finally got around to working on the truck (just purchased a new 04 F250 so I haven't been driving it). International carries the harness, it's was $74 plus tax; and, they had it in stock.

You can also purchase the round connectors at most any parts store. Depending on which glow plugs you use, they may have spade or round connectors.
