I didn't know they put a stock 4-core radiator in 'em. Guess I never looked. I may take a trip tomorrow, thanks for the heads up on that one.

i would reccomend getting a fan shorud for your new 4-core. this will help airflow a lot amd will improve cooling even more.

Putting an electric fan in front of the radiator that already has the factory fan will act as nothing more than a baffle and will actually decrease the airflow through the radiator. It can't even come close to matching the CFM pulled by the stock fan, let alone add to it.

Since you are high revving the engine anyway, airflow through the radiator should not be a problem. As mentioned, if you have no shroud, by all means get one. The shroud is a vital part of the cooling system, and is too often discarded by shadetree mechanics.

I would also recommend a 4 row radiator.

An alternative would be a PROPERLY installed electric fan system. By this, I mean heavy duty. high CFM double fans with the proper radiator shroud, not an Autozone cheapo held on with zip ties. The advantage here would be that the fans will keep cooling even when you throttle down.
