does this make me crazy?

2-1/2 years ago i met this chick while i was working for the phone co. we hit it off great, so already having her # asked to call her sometime to do something. we talked a few times (over the phone it did not go so great- but not terrible- im not quite as charming as in person ha-ha) anyways i still think of what could have been. we lost contact because of 9-11, she was a flight attendant and was laid off when the jobs were cut. one day i called and her phone was cut off. i assumed that she moved back to where she was before here. i recently did some research over the net and found that it is possible she may be back in the area. i wrote a letter to see how things are going, but im gettng cold feet on sending it. its not a crazy psyco letter, just a simple, how u been? , kind of thing. my best friend says that crazy is all i got. and i really dont think ive got anything to loose by sending it i just dont want to turn her off or keep wondering what may be. any suggestions?

Send the letter!!!!! I recently found some old family friends that I have been looking for around 15 years.. I found one of them through classmates.com and the rest followed.. It was so great I feel like I can finally close that chapter of my life and have my old friends back!!!!

I concur, send the letter... ...let the letter carrier go postal.

A long time ago I told myself the only thing that can go wrong is the word NO...or the words ....I'm not interested....in which you move on to another

If it works out, it's one of those things that the two of you will look back on in 20 years and laugh about. If I would have said no to a coworker of mine about him setting me up on a blind date 12 years ago, I wouldn't have met my wife. Send it.

From a females point of view:

Recently a friend of mine from 15 yrs ago looked me up on the net. (He's in Iraq) He called me up about 32 times at home during the day while I was at work. I could never figure out who the heck was calling me over and over. (Never got the call, would see the # on caller ID after work). Anyway, he finally called really late one night, which was early a.m. for him and when I saw the # on the caller ID that late, I picked up the phone prepared to give the caller an earful of @#$@%^# !!
Turns out it was a great surprise and made me feel good that someone had been thinking of me and went to the effort to find me just to say 'Hey, how ya been?'

So..send the letter. We like being thought about and LOVE that you'd go to the trouble of finding us!

Just my .02 Hope it helps.

So what if it does? She isn't part of your life now, and a restraining order would definitely answer the "is she interested" question!

Good luck!

Yeah, drop it in the mail, can't hurt. I did the same thing last year, there was a co-worker I hadn't seen in a couple years after I quit working at the casino and I wanted to get in touch with her. We were really good friends at work, and we went out a few times. I finally found an address for her, I think, mailed the letter but never got a responce. But, if I wouldn't have mailed it, I would still be wondering to this day if I should have.

what do you have to lose by sending the letter??? nothing. i just sent a letter to an ex girlfriend i broke up with 3 years ago ( im 21 ) even though i know she has a boyfriend and lives in Kalifornia now. just a simple "how are you, heres some pics of me, call or write back sometime"

this girl you want to send the letter to obviously doesnt know anyone you know or else youd be able to contact her through them. so... therefor if she thinks your nuts for sending her a letter... at least she wont be telling anyone you know that youve gone psycho!

who knows... maybe shes single, better looking than before, and has been thinking about you ever since?

Chalk up another vote for 'send it.' I recently got back in touch with somebody that I was friends with my last year of high school/my 1st couple of years of college. We wrote for awhile but both of us got really busy and everything. But now we're writing again.
