I have a 77 F-150 Explorer. It has decal stripes on the sides and the hood.
I want to restore this truck to orginal condition. Does anyone reproduce these decals? They are about 1-1/2" wide and surround the "dimple" that goes down the side of the truck as well as around the hood. By the way what was the Explorer package?
I dont know of anyone that makes them but a local graphics shop should be able to make them for you. Just have them make up the new ones before you sand off the old ones. The explorer package was a trim level similar to ranger package you might want to use the seach this forum function at the top of the 73-79 forum.
The original explorer striping kits had a 2 year shelf life.
In 1981, I couldn't get a replacement stripe kit for my 78.
As long as you have a photo & one half of the stripes on the truck, any trimline shop will be able to make you set.
Or
Do what I did ,get a body shop to paint them on.
