Suggesting Mod chip?
Greetings, I have written a few posts about my project 1986 302 efi. I put some high compression heads on and some shorty headers and added a C4 manual valve body tranny w/ a B&M Shifter and a 56 MM throttle body. Well I have done everything to try to correct the marble sound under load and it's still there. Someone told me that the computer doesn't have a clue what to do with the new compression and higher fuel volume and they suggested a mod chip. Is this the way to go? Is it possible that the computer is clueless with such simple engine modifications? Help pleasse!!!

That may be the problem, but the bigger problem is that I don't think 86's readily accept performance chips. Scroll down to the computer chip forum, I think the moderator there makes them. He could tell you for sure if you can get one. I think it may even depend what computer you have, by the numbers on it, maybe an early/late change. Some may accept it and some don't. Anyway, your best bet is to get in touch there. They'll set you up...
