2002 F150 Supercrew Transmission Clunking Sound when stopping
I have a 2002 F-150 Supercrew, and have started noting a clunking sound when I come to a stop...almost like it is downshifting real hard. I ahve a prox 43K miles on it.
It seems to me shifting ok as far as I can tell, but the clunking sound at times is really heavy.
Also, I have tried putting it in neutral and then coming to a stop and there is no sound or clunking when I do that.
Has anyone experienced anything similar. Could it be ujoints perhaps?
Any help is appreciated,
Ron
