M50D conversion to NV 4500 trans
I have a 1995 F150 5speed, 4.9L 4X4 and I hate the tranny plus with 124K
on the truck its going to need a rebuild so I was thinking trans swap
to a NV 4500 like some ppl do in jeeps http://www.high-impact.net/transmiss...ear/nv4500.htm

The S5-47 can is rated at 470 ft. lbs of torque compared to the S5-42 which is rated to 420 ft. lbs of torque. I've never done the swap but as long as you get ZF from a truck that has the same bellhousing pattern as the 300 you be able to bolt it up the engine. As far as the trans crossmember im not sure.

You need a zf from behind a 351. The mazda crossmember is a direct swap, you need a slave for a ZF, I have the 10.5" clutch from my mazda in mine but i'd reccomend a 11" for the ZF. The mazda clutch master will work. Tcase and driveshafts will bolt up perfectly.
