Airbag Code 37

HELP My mom has a 2000 explorer sport. The air bag light is flashing a code 37. The used car dealer she bought it from is saying she needs a new airbag. To the tune of 700 bucks. I was thinking maybe is just a sensor or somthing does any now what this code means thanks in advance

Check for any loose wiring connections under the drivers seat

Yep, I fiddled with the wiring and plug coming from the seat belt under the seat and fixed mine. It comes back from time to time when my driver's seat is adjusted for my wife or I adjust it back for me. I have seen that when I make sure the connector is tight, it fixes it.

Hi, isn't a 37 the passenger seat and a 36 the drivers? Mine was a broken wire on the connector under the passenger seat from being kicked by whomever sat back there. Good luck.
