Between 30-40 mph, my truck would vibrate in a way that is associated with front tires being out of balance. I know wheel balancing usually doesn't come into play at these low speeds but I had the balancing done at my expense at a local tire shop. This didn't help. Went back to dealer. They found on their computer that the rear component of the drive shaft could be the problem. It was.

This problem seems to be common enough to be referred to as a probable systemic defect, BUT.... I DON'T have it with my F-250 SDSC V10 Lariat LWB. No vibration/resonance at any time, or at any speed, with or without the A/C in use.
That would tend to verify that those folk experiencing that annoyance do indeed have a unique defect that the mfr and the dealers must address and somehow correct.
Stay on their backs until they spend the necessary time and money to uncover the problem, and to come up with the solution. You have a right to enjoy this great truck, and you've paid good money to do just that.

Indeed, As per my previous posts I "had" two types of vibrations/resonances. And both are fixed!
The first problem (I'll call a resonance) was definently rpm related and the fix was to order the dampeners that I mentioned in my previous post. These parts were originally for a 2.5 inch diameter exhaust and as we know the V10 has a 3 inch exhaust system. They apparently add mass to the exhaust system and that resonance is now gone at all rpms. The other problem was a two fold fix. The carrier braket was not aligned properly and becuase I have a SWB 142" there is two much angle between the carrier bracket and the differential so there is a shim kit available that drops that bracket down about 3/4" and now the vibration/wheel hope is gone from start to about 10 mph.
We just got back from a 1400 mile trip pulling our 5700 lb travel trailer and all was flawless.
Hope this helps
