Clutch adjustment

Can somebody please help this forgetful old buzzrd? It's been DECADES since I've had to adjust a mechanical clutch. I remember that it should have a little over 1 inch of free play, but can't remember exactly HOW to do it
I have a 74 F-250 2wd. Thanks a bunch boys and girls.

If I remember right (don't ya hate the CRS syndrome) you adjust it with the adjuster sleeve/bolt that pushes against the clutch fork. Usually one to one and a half inch of free play at the top of pedal. Not at the bottom near the floor like some truck mechanics I knew that did it that way because they thought we were riding the clutch. We were doing heavy weight work with middle weight trucks.

Thanks Beast. As soon as it's daylight, I'll give it a try. As soon as you mentioned it, it started to come back to me, lOL.
