Mirrors

I have a 250SD with the "sport" mirrors. I have a large trailer and want the towing mirrors. Would anyone want to trade strait across. Mine are in great shape and I would expect the same.

Sorry I can't help on the trade. But, I would like to know if the 2000 towing mirrors will telescope. They're great mirrors but stickout too wide to get the truck in my garagel. If you could leave them telescoped in most of time it would be great....then when towing telescope them out.

I have heard that the 2000 mirrors will telescope but have not heard anything official.

Ford will have telescoping mirrors for 2000. They aren't available yet. My neighbor just ordered a 2000 and the dealer told him that they will be avail. by the 3rd quarter. If you order a truck with them, it will cause your order to be placed on hold, I'm told. You ever consider using the strap on kind? I have them and they work pretty well. Thinks look kinda bouncy but at least you can see what's behind you. They're about $15 each at Camping World.

Yea, I have the strap-on type now. The drivers side works ok but it's the passenger side is the one I have the most trouble with. I guess I will have to make do. Thanks though

Unfortunately, I have already purchased the sport mirrors and had them installed. I have two power trailer tow mirrors with 10,000 miles on them that I will sell for $50. each plus shipping. If interested e-mail me.
