I would also suggest that you "visit" the dealership on Saturday afternoons (usually the busiest selling time), and complain to your salesman. Tie him up (not literally) for hours, discussing your problem. Have him bring over the sales manager also. Make sure all the potential customers hear about your problems. Meanwhile, your salesman won't have time to speak with any other potential customers, as he will be "busy" with you. If other customers approach him, politely tell them that he is busy with you.

Not the most fun way to spend your Saturday afternoons, but after a couple of weeks, you should get more cooperation.

Best of luck.

The salesmen probably has little influence...
i would first give the Svc Mgr one chance,,,
and tell him so,,
then go to the GM and/or owner...
be nice but firm at first and just ratchet up as need be,,,
be sure to tell them you have slow Sats and you can put a sign on your truck as you drive into the dealership :-)

Cool Lemon Law may apply after all

Got the truck back from the dealer again today. Fixed the broken AC, new seal on the transfer case output, adjusted the steering gear preload, couldn't solve the viobration problem at 1,750 rpm's, couldn't duplicate the clunk in rear end. Dealer says he tried all he could with Ford. Decided to call my attorney to see what he says. He called a friend who spent 25 years with Ford. She told him that I need to ask Ford for a Lemon Law Packet. She said it applies to consumers and commercial vehicles as well. Dealer doesn't offer this route because it actually becomes a "black eye" for the Dealer. My goal is to end up with a "reliable" vehicle as I travel statewide every week inspecting houses we build. I have no intention of beating up Ford but I do believe that 50 days in the shop over a 9 month period is a tad bit excessive. Again, I love the truck and the 6.0 and want another. It just seems that this thing was assembled on Monday after the July 4th Holiday. I'll keep you guys updated.

Angry Lemon Law - maybe!

Found out from the state of Minnesota today that a vehicle that has been in the shop over 30 days (mine has been in for 50 days) may fall under the lemon law. Also, even though my truck is registered to my business if I use it at least 40 % of the time for personal stuff they have to listen to me. Since the Ford Dispute Board told me to take a hike The State of Minnesota said I should get an attorney and pursue the lemon law.
