Waiting Forever

Ordered my F250 SD V10 Lariat on 8/16/99, received a released status from Ford as of a few days ago, with an anticipated delivery date of 11/29/99, and after the dealer initially stated delivery would be 6 to 8 weeks.

Waiting Forever

I ordered mine through Overseas Military Sales on June 19th, and I STILL haven't got it. They are now telling me that I should get it November 23rd. I am in Guam by the way, but still, it should not take that long. If I'm lucky, I'll get to drive it for a few days before I deploy to Japan for 6 months.

Sorry to hear that you have waited so long Pat. We were very fortunate to find such a great Ford dealer- he promised the truck on Feb. 28th and that is the exact date it came in. We ordered the end of Dec. -2months---not bad. He said it had to do with the fact that each dealer is allowed only so many of each model. Ours was an F-250 4x4 crew cab, diesel. I wish you luck and hope you enjoy your new truck as much as we do.

Waiting Forever

I know what you're going through. Ordered a 99 250SD in May, got cancelled in July, reordered a 2000 and didn't get it until Oct. 18. Keep after your dealer - mine finally gave me a "customer appreciation" rebate for $500 -so I actually got the 2000 for less than the 99 I ordered. It is worth the wait, though.
