door poppers

has anyone used the door poppers for their f-100 ?
i shaved the handles on my truck and am going to
be putting in the electric poppers. question is after installing
the hardware to unlatch the door do i need the spring loaded
pins to help open the door? if so where did you mount it and
what pound popper did you get to open the door. thanks uk

Hi

I used a Wilk-Bilt Cars remote entry kit # wlk rem-2 and a pair of Dakota Digital door poppers. I had to use the poppers to get the door to open enough so I can use my hand to open it all the way. The poppers are black and you can adjust them both by two external nuts and a internal set screw. I located the poppers on the "A" piller about 2 inches below the interior door switch. It works just fine for me.
