I say use the Motorcraft or what ever the dealer uses (Mine switched without telling anyone to Quaker State after I bought my truck. Thanks Penzke!). That way they will have a record in the computer that YOU DID maintain your truck in case something comes up. I did this with my truck and my wifes Taurus and the wife's car had to have a new transmission at 56k. The records showed that I had done the transmission service as scheduled so the extended warranty paid for it.
What ever you use, stick with it and use the 5w not the 10 or higher. The oil tubes are designed for the lower weight.
I hope you enjoy your truck as much as I have mine.

Actually 0-30, 5-30 and 10-30 and any other X-30 are the same viscosity at operation temps....only difference between them is the amount of VI improvers, with 0-30 having the most.
They will all work fine in your vehicle with out any damage to your motor, and all will give you the same mpg.
Any oil that is API certified will do just fine, and running a non API certified oil may cause you wnty problems.

If you have a 4.2 use castrol 10w-40 and a pint of lucas oil. I've been using it in mine since 80,000 miles. And it's just getting ready to turn over 160,000 and it's running stronger with less engine noise then it did a 60k
