Major Idea. If this keeps up I can use this thread for a transcript for a book. "To Hell and Back"? Maybe.

Some test results on sensors and actuators:

IAB- KOEO-12v on both wires.
START-12v on Red,0v on white. Vavle opens.

ECT- Manual says 24.27 ohms or 2.62v
No continuity across pins(302 reads same), GRN wire has 3.12v.

ACT- Manual says 24.27 ohms or 2.62v
No continuity across pins(302 reads same), TAN wire has 3.11v.

Injectors- 12v on both RED and WHT wires. Injectors click when I ground the
WHT wire.

EVR- KOEO RED-12.49v
GRN-12.49v
Continuity across pins(302 reads same).

EGR- Manual says Closed .5v, Open-3.9v
KOEO- ONG/WHT-5.04v
BLK/WHT-0.02v
BRN-0.42v
No continuity across any pins(302 reads same)
Vacuum applied, valve opens, BRN-1.36v

My cranking problem has reappeared. I can't figure out what is causing the engine to drag after a start attempt. I have to remove the all the spark plugs, spin the engine then reinstall them before I can attempt to restart.

Well that's it, 2 weeks is enough of troubleshooting this fuel injection crap. I'm going with a carb and distributor with points. All I need to find out now is will the in tank fuel pumps supply enough pressure for the carb or will I have to derate the Hi-Pressure pump with a regulator?

Well, I bit the bullet today. Couldn't wait any longer. I needed transportation to work to continue making MONEY for this project. Check it out, $4500.

1992 F150 XLT

When mine is back on the road, this will be my better half's vehicle(the 1 who allows me to spend money fruitlessly).

Time to bring up an old subject that is still existing. I've torn this thing down twice now and reassembled without finding the cause. I've buzzed every wire and sensor on the harness and engine to no avail to find the problem. I'd rather throw parts at it then spend $90 - 150 an hour to a shop to figure this thing out and get the same answer from them. Most of the shops personell I've talked to have no experience on anything this old. From what I gathered, if they can't find the problem without using a computer, then old fashion troubleshooting is non-existent.

Symptom: Engine cranks, starts, runs for appox. 4 secs then dies with no restart until about an hour later, then does same thing again when starts. When it does run, RPM increases to 3000(smooth, not rough, then dies).

Re-cap: Remove entire engine from F250, 5.8L FI, with complete under hood harness and computer. Rebuilt engine, new Comp Cam(computer friendly), rebuilt injectors, throttle body, new TPS, new throttle cable, new plugs(had Bosch Plats but S&G's, I installed Motorcraft plugs, no change). New dizzy cap. rotor. wires and TFI module. All other sensors check out compared to new ones, limits in manuals don't correspond to the old ones or the new ones and are the same as on the 5.0L removed. New battery, starter and cables.

KOEO fuel press is 35-40psi and holds. Computer checks good with KOEO test. Can't do a KOER for obvious reasons(lol).

I'm about at my witts end as what to do next. I don't mind spending money on it if the results are "POSITIVE". If you have the time, you can read the previous posts here to get an idea of what's been going on with it. I didn't want to start a new thead.
