OK, I am getting mad now. The accountant e-filed my refund on 3/10/04 and have yet to see the return. It states that it can take 3 weeks and that will be next week on 3/29/04. If you e-filed how long did it take to get your return. The IRS web page has error today.
I did my own taxes via turbo tax on the web and had it direct deposited into my checking account and that alone took about 3 weeks. I would say 3 weeks is a pretty good turn around time if you're having your refund mailed to you.
it took me about 3 weeks for federal & 6 weeks for state. That was e-filing with direct deposit. I guess they were looking at me closely to try to find out how I made 70 grand last year & got a combined refund of 6 grand. I must of did it correctly because they didn't find any mistakes & I recieved the cash I thought I was.
I did a few other taxes for family & they had their State refunds the same week & federal the week after.
OK, That is what I though. My friend got his from state and Fed on the same day and in 10 days, but he can keep track of time. My accountant e-filed for me and it will be direct depositied into my account. I think this is good, becuase it is spring break now and I would go and spend a lot of it on "stuff". Oh well should be here by next week.
We did the e-filing thing with TAXCUT and got ours back in 9 days. Gonna spend the money on something...furniture, stuff for the truck, etc.
I used to go the accountant route also until I figured I could do the job as good and do it sooner. We have a small business, two properties in different states....not hard at all using the program.
