Taxes

Ok I FINALLY got all my papers to file my taxes. I didnt work the whole year so I didnt make to much money. I have like 5 different w-2's. What would be the best do it your selfer program to do the taxes? I just cant justify going to get them done and having to pay that outragious fee. I havnt done them myself before so the easiest program will be the better? Ive thought about turbo tax because with my company discount I can get it for $9.00

What did you use to do you taxes, and what fee did you pay?

if all you have are W-2s and no real deductions, save yourself some time and headache and just go to the post office and pick up the 1040EZ form and booklet. It's really straight forward to fill out.

If you're dead set on a program, I prefer using turbotax over tax cut. I use it for my personal and business filings and I think it's much easier to use than tax cut. But then again, I get the home and office version which is like $90 (and also a business deduction).

Im looking at getting it back as soon as possible because I need the cash. I went to the H&R Site and they have a thing that estimates how much you get back....It said I will get $1,989.00 back.

I only made around 15000.00 because I wasn't employed much last year, with 644 for my 401k that I got back. I claimed myself, and i added up my taxes withheld from the few jobs I held and came with like 2500...But getting back 1989 dosent seem right...

Not having kids yet, I usually get to pay in or break even. I hate tax time. Sad thing is, my wife and I claim Zero and still have to pay in. I use Turbo Tax.
