antenna replacement on a 95

I found in other threads how to replace the power antenna but after removing the old 1 which was broken almost at the end, I can not get the new mast to start. I have tried the teeth facing in every direction and it will not start. I did not want to force it and take a chance on braking the new 1 to. Any suggestions? Its my daughters and she is anxious to get the radio working.

I read on ebay that this is a 2 person job, I have a 95 with a seized mast. If you boutht the replacement power mast turn on accesory on ignition with radio off put the mast gear in the shaft and as you guide it in have a helper turn the radio on and guide the mast in.

Check on ebay this is where i read these instructions

I finely got the ant. in today. It seemed to be stuck on something and just took a little extra pressure before it caught the gears and pulled in. Thanks for the help.
