Not much you can do but the usual:
Keep it tuned up, watch tire pressures, and a light foot on the gas pedal.
Any mods you might do to improve MPG are very unlikely to be cost effective, IMHO.
Change the plugs with some good, expensive, double-plats and a good set of OEM plug wires (if you have not already).
I've also heard that running the max tire pressure (and then a pound or 2 more) will ad a fews miles to the tank.
But with Exps....especially the auto xlt's....I think a light foot (gradual excelleration and stops) is the biggest factor. Folks have reported 5 mpgs differences between bein' a grandma and a young gun (and you only get there a fews seconds earlier anyway).
Get a can of Seafoam and let it run through the engine. That stuff will kill all the crap that is inside of the engine. It'll run smoother and will give you a couple of more mpg.
