When to switch to higher octane?
When exactly should i start using higher octane fuel? 2 tanks or so before i install the diablo, or after, while there is still 87 in the tank?

Before you install the chip, run the current tank down to about 1/8th of a tank, and then fill it up with premium. That should run it down enough. If you get slight ping under heavy throttle in the first tank, throw in some cheap octane booster (shouldn't be needed after the first tank full).
