Rear Running Lights

i wanted to add rear running lights to my F250 just below the tailgate, directly above the bumber (3 red lights in a row). Does ford have this with one of their options for the higher end dullies?? would i be able to order the part and install it, connecting it to my current running lights? thanks for the help.

Yes you can. Look for it at your local parts store, or buy a FORD OEM for a dually. Hook up the wires and let it glow.

where exactly are the wires going to be coming from? the rear tail lights? or will i have to run an entire seperate wire for them? i dont want them to light up with the brake lights or blink with the directionals. just solid all the time. you think ford would do it for me?

Yeah, I was going to buy one from Ford, but didn't like the price...
The one at Autozone is the same but the frame is white instead of black. I guess it could be painted black. Also, it's about $30 cheaper!

Talking I love this website!

One of the things on my "to do list" today was to find a set of these lights to install on my '04 F350 SRW. I wasn't even thinking about it as I read through some of the new messages and BINGO! There was the part number and a source. I just ordered a set from 1st Ford Parts.

Thanks guys!!

Steve

Great info as I have been wanting a set for my SRW. Does this part work on the non-dualies" as well. I noticed where it says "mounting bracket for DRW'?

i dont see why not, i think its just that its an option or feature usually only found on the dullies. im putting them on my F250 SRW so there!! no reason why it shouldnt fit in the same location and just splice into the exisitng license plate lamps or run a seperate wire if you want. THEY BETTER FIT

You can buy the wiring harness for the dually and will have 4 extra sockets for additional lights and be able to plug the Ford light bar in also. I did this with my 350 SRW.

For the dually trucks there is a set of three lights (red in fact) over the license plate area. They are commonly called rear ID lights.
It's a DOT thing not real sure what the rules are about them.
