if it were me id say listen next time you get stuck im not pullin u out. n u kno hes gonna again so when he comes to ur door id just hand him a shovel and a bottle of water n tell him to start diggin. but thats just me
Don't get me wrong, I am also a nice person who would stop and help someone on the side of the rode, but this guy has kept coming back. This is the same reason I don't feed any cats that come around
I think your right,His dad should come pull him out the next time with his tractor,He bought the truck for him so maybe he should take care of it, Theres only one bad thing about owning my bronco and thats if any one gets stuck on the beach they will come knocking any time of the night
Next time, hand him the phone and tell him to call a tow service. I had a neighbor like that my self when I was stationed in Ft Eustis, VA and lived off base. After the 4th time, the fun of having my old Ford pull out something newer and not Ford, wore off. It was no longer fun and became a pain. On the last time, I told him to get an account with AAA cause I wasn't going to do it anymore if he didnt air down. Sure enough, he came over 2 nights later, and I just handed him the phone number to a local tow service. He never did get stuck again out there.
I agree with troy. Right now, the guy is getting free handouts from you and your buddy. If you start charging him for pulling him out, he may learn to air down. If he doesn`t, look at it as easy beer money. Figure, nine times already @ about $40 a pop. That`s alot of beer. If the price sounds too high for him, tell him to call a tow truck and see what they charge him. Then, when he comes back, tell him the price just went up to $60. Ha-ha!
This guy has needed to be pulled out of the same place nine times? He sounds like an idiot. I generally learn how not to get stuck at a particular place after the first time, maybe the second. Not nine times.
If he is a bro, just keep pulling him out. That's what bros are for. If he is just a neighbor, tell him that you are busy having s@x at the moment and that you can't leave!
Sounds good to me , Because i f you call a tow truck they wont come !!!!! You better know someone to get you. My friend charges 100.00 bucks just to start his truck and then it goes up from there. Wether you stuck in the marshmud or on the beach and with the tide comeing up, and how bad off you are. Now if your a friend your ok. I have pulled a few people off but have not charged anyone but that may change soon!!!!
Charge him $50 or don't do it, plain and simple. I see alot of idiots on the local beach with no common sense. I tell'em, "You can pay me, or call a tow truck. They will charge you $200."
You have to consider the wear and tear on your Bronco, and the potential to break something pulling out another truck. Beer cost money, too!!!
