Go Ford!!!!

OK, I just had to chime in since I just got back from hunting. Other than getting my buck, doe, Elk cow and bull, I had a blast showing up the hunting buddies. First, there is one with his 3/4 ton Dodge diesel. Sooo much turbo lag, he had wheel spin at almost every spot that required a little driving finesse. He had a hard time controlling the throttle response. He even destroyed his 4x4 system when he tried to throw it in going up hill spinning his back tires in the mud. Granted that was driver error, but just the same.

Next had an old Chevy blazer all rebuilt. Not this wasn't funny, well kinda...he thought he would be a smarta** and go around the dodge to get in a position to pull him up the hill. Well in trying, his ujoint grenaded. It sounded like someone had just shot a deer and his truck slid back into the dodge. OK...at this point, I was in between going "HOLY *****!" and laughing so hard I was about to fall out the door. OK....My turn. SO I pull it into 4x4 low. Climbed up and around, hooked up the chebby, pulled him to the top so he could yank the rest of his drive shaft and cripple back to camp on front wheel drive. Then I hooked up the dodge, pulled him to the top, then realizing after we all checked it out, that he was without a t-case. It was pissing all over itself...fluids everywhere. (ewwwww). SO I had to tow him the 4 miles back to camp while following the Chebby and waiting as he ran at top speeds through the other mud holes to keep from getting stuck. OK, after running them both into town for parts, and drinking a few beers watching them laying on their back in the mud at camp replacing pats, (I didn't have the heart to tell them that I had brought extra tarps for the extra animals since I had extra tags.) WE got on our way with hunting. So we got our fill of tags, and I got my fill of dirty looks and remarks, (they saw the tarps). WE loaded up and went home. Well here I am, with my 4.6 ext cab, short bed, loaded with an ATV in the bed, a popup on the hitch and another ATV on the top of the popup, (Home made carrier with ramp), they had their own loads but with the probs they had, they pass some of it on to me. I still headed up the pack going home though the mountain passes and having to slow down a couple of times to let them catch up. Man I was patting the dashboard all the way home. I think she deserves a heated room of her own.
