Guns are here, getting rid of them isn't feasible. We just need to punish the criminals rather than let them go with a slap on the wrist.

Ban guns and we'll have Ruby Ridge senarios all over this country.

After reading this thread I can't even imagine wanting to live in an area that gun control laws are an issue.Perhaps in the lower part of Maine,I might consider it,but not up here. The only person I knew that carried a concealed weapon ended up shooting himself in the foot from it discharging when the hammer caught the doorhandle getting out of his van.I don't really consider it an issue up here.My view is that the federal gun laws already on the books should be strictly enforced before passing more gun control laws.Perhaps that would make a difference.I would imagine there are folks who have concealed firearms up here, but it's not out of necessity,it's more out of choice.

Triton, not to flame you or anything, but if it is a defenseless sheeple liberial eutopia you want to live in, move to Sydney Australia. they just succesfully banned guns, knives, baseball bats, swords, and even rocks. God help you if you get caught with a pebble in your shoe.

Ok,I tried to end this even asked to have it closed with no luck,so before you(not to flame you or anything)again, do yourselves a favor.go to NRAblacklist.com,or type in brady campaign and then hit the facts button and see about florida and what their ccw permits have done for them. And by the way, thank you for forcing me to do research on this subject,I now am registered with the Brady camp.SO FLAME AWAY!

Seriously man, didnt want you to take it the wrong way. I thought it halarious rocks are considered a conceled weapon in Oz if you are caught with them in your pockets. As a side note if it wasnt for people moving to another country because they didnt like the one they were in the US would never have existed. But as it goes, we all have choices and we all can state our different opinions, that is basically what freedom is. You can choose to join the brady campain and I can chose to have 3,000 rds of linked 7.62x51. It is when these rights are infringed upon that everyone no matter what thier difference of opinion must stand up for those rights, it may not affect you now and you may agree with the changes, but what's next? I personally would rather die free then be a slave of a tyrannical government. Ok enough of my

1st of all like anyone who will kill another person in malice would coperate with any gun laws and there are not alot of people who will shoot a police officer, yes there are some past shootings of police officers but there's no money in it so why would they want to.There are idiots all over the world and i for one would like them to keep guessing which one of us are going to yank out our 45 and blow them away if they try something,,,,,ps you notice you dont hear much about incidental car jackings anymore why do you think that might be ?

KingTriton, I know you mean well and I too wish there were some way to cut down on violence, but.. "at the end of the day criminals will find a way".
Extend the barrels and they'll cut them. Outlaw guns and we'll be unarmed and the criminals who still have guns will know we're only easier to rob. It really is a vicious circle and the true way to improve this world is to have sensible laws. That is a whole new discussion though lol.

the real solution is to have no laws. It is the most advanced form of government and I htink humans have come to a point where we need it.

Triton, I find it interesting that you are willing to quote 'facts' from a blatantly anti gun website, yet you, in another thread, rag on people for trusting info from the NRA. What kind of consistency is that? Exactly what kind of data do you expect to get from the brady family.....it surely won't be un biased. Try to consider info from some unbiased sites for a change.

What kind of research did you do on this subject and where did you gather your info?

What bothers me most about people like triton is the fact that 9/11 happened because the liberals have indoctrinated into our society to just give up. For example, if someone says give my your wallet or else, the liberal have always said to just give it over and that it is not worth your life. Well I disagree, if you hand it over, it just reinforces the criminals to act in such a brazen way, this is basic psychology. If everyone was armed, and shot back at robbers (felons) this behavior might slow down or stop. Those people on the planes did just as those liberals said, to just be good victims and sit there do nothing and wait for the police. As it turns out the liberals were wrong and those brave people on the other plane who fought back saved lives. I carry a gun everywhere I go because I refuse to be a victim of liberal ideology. PS Life member of the NRA.
