I read a post that I cannot find where there was a discussion on disconnecting the batteries for periods of 12 and 24 hours. It sounded as though disconnecting the batteries for 24 hours would clear more out of memory than less time.
What is the story on disconnecting the batteries to clear memory?
I remember a post where someone had disconnected both batteries and then turned on the lights and ignition to insure that all stored power was drained before being reconnected.
I understand that disconnecting the battery clears fuel control and shifting and has to be "relearned". There is a section in the owner manual diesel supplement that tells you how to start the relearn process. (plus your radio loses its memory). Are there additional information that it clears? Would you check with your source?
I gave you all I had, I wish I understood more of this stuff..................especially this.
This alone is one thing that really means allot to many of you out there.
I know you understand this well
