Hurst Shifter??
After doing my body lift and trying to get my shifter set up properly.. i end up with the shifter just barly hittin the seat... i was thinkin of making a bracket or bending the shifter.. or somthin for a inch or so of clearence.. or i guess i could move my seat back some more.. but then i cant reach the pedals...the trucks 97 F250 Heavy Duty with the 5spd.. i looked on hurst site and they have a shifter listed for F150 5 spds... from 1988-1996... my truck is the 96 body style and everything off a 96 fits on mine.. but anyways.. does this mean i could put a hurst short shifter on there?? id rather do that then messing with the stock one.. shorter throws would be nice.. good for clearence also.. anyways.. if anyone no's or has put one on there truck before could ya let me no.. i got a feeling these heavy duty 5 spds are different.. i got the low 1st gear.. start in 2nd all the time.. if that helps at all.. not exaclty sure wut model the trany is. thanx alot guys

In the F250 Heavey Duty trucks they used the ZF 5speed. The Hurst Shifter is made for the Mazda M5R2 5spd. Awesome shifter, as most Hurst are, but won't fit yours.
