I went to have my '03 F250 serviced. It had 3000 mi and there were a couple rattles, whistles, and shudders. Told them to perform the 3000 mi oil change. They kept my truck for 2 days and could not find the rattle, cleaned the door seals, and said the shudder was normal, ha. Did not charge for the oil change since they had my truck for 2 days, good customer relations. Got home and checked the oil, black. Looked at filter and it had mud on it. Turns out they did not change the oil.
Called to talk to service manager and he said your right we did not do the oil, oopps. I hate service depts, cant trust them.
Let 'em read the posts. I'm convinced it's no "accident" because it happens time and time again. I doubt that they care that a few enthusiasts figured it out. Most people don't know any better and get taken.
