At the moment i have a 10 series flowmaster on my truck with a 302. I have just one highflow cat, that has 2.5" piping after it, and than into a 2.5" to 3" adapter into a the 10 series, than a little bit of 3" piping after it with a turn down. I really like the sound, but starting to get tired of the leaks since its not welded up, and just doesnt seem loud enough. I was thinking of maybe taking that off including the adapter and just running a 2.5" dynomax bullet, and than into a 90 degree angle pipe out to the side in front of the rear tire. Do you think it would be louder? Sound good? Would my performance be a little better since it would all be 2.5" pipe instead of partly 3"? Also wondering if the straight thru design of the dynomax would help over the chambered flowmaster. Thanks!
If that 10 series is the single chamber Flowmaster I'm not sure you'll gain all that much sound going to a Race Bullet. Both are some of the loudest mufflers out there, they will just sound different than each other. The bullet might actually be quieter in the cab since you are going to have it exit somewhere instead of running a turndown.
I think the Flowmaster gave a little better lowend. The bullet has better performance at WOT. I like the idle/cruising sound of the Flowmaster better but on acceleration the bullet is just wicked...
Welp i got it all done. Sounds mean Wish it sounded just a tad deeper like my flowmaster did though, but im satisfied. Idles like a straight pipe, but sounds a little more like my flow did when i rev it. Maybe ill try to get a clip some how eventually....
