Imax Nascar
Just got back from seeing the IMAX NASCAR movie with my 7 year old son. It was good -- I'd give it a B.
However, the weird thing was that leading up to the premiere of this movie, there were tons of advertisements calling it IMAX 3D NASCAR -- along with all kinds of "making-of" news clips showing the twin IMAX cameras filming everything. But right before the show, I noticed that all the advertisements changed to IMAX NASCAR with no 3D in there.
The movie was sold out but we'd bought tickets online, so we got in OK. They did not hand out the polarized glasses like they normally do for the other 3D IMAX movies like the Gallapagos movie and the space station movie.
Watching the movie, it was obvious from the way they shot things coming at you that it was supposed to be a 3D movie.
Wonder what happened? Was the 3D effect making people sick or something?
