Hey,
I recently purchased a set of FOUR molded Ford mud flaps on ebay for my 2004 4x4 Ranger, without fender flares. Apparently, these mud flaps fit 98-04 Rangers...
They came with all the mounting hardware for the REAR flaps, but no hardware for the front flaps.
I called my local Ford dealer and they told me that the parts I needed were "obsolete" and could not get them in. What the heck?
I've been looking everywhere for the proper size screws and plastic push-ins that I need, but CAN'T find them.
Anyone know where I can find the hardware I need? Some part #'s or stores would be good.
cool. Yeah, I've been searching all over for the correct screws & such. Been to Ace Hardware, NAPA, Home Depot, Advance Auto, O'Reilly Auto, Ford Dealers... I'm going to try a body shop supply store here in town today to see what they can do.
I found the correct screws & nylon anchors I need, but having trouble finding the BIG plastic push-pins.
Thanks for all the help.
Autozone and Ford dealerships sell the big plastic rivets for about .80 cents each. Let me know if you have any questions. Since I had to put mine on myself I'm fairly familiar with the installation. Good luck.
Well, we don't have an autozone here, but the Ford Dealer told me that the parts were "obsolete". I DO have a body shop that's in the process of ordering some in for me.
Apparently one of the Ford dealers around here needed some, but couldn't get any except through this body parts shop... So now they're ordering me in some and keeping some for their stock, because I was told that these are becoming a very HOT item... heh.
Such a hassle for a little cheap-o part. Man, I could have carved out a mold and poured some plastic to make my own in the time it's taken me to find these things.
