Engine rebore - practical?
Howdy,
I was wondering what it would cost to get my 4.6L rebored. Its got about 113K miles on it and I'm thinking I'd just go ahead and add a little more punch to it. Along with the cost, what kind of power gains would I be getting out of it, and would it be worth it? Please help, and any comments are welcome. Thanks

These engines are sleeved I think. Most of the ones that I have seen, (even the worlds fastest Mod motor), is only bored .020 over.
FRPP has recently introduced a 5.0 Big Bore Mod motor. It's got a redesigned block for the bigger bore. It's pretty costly though.
