460 cylinder taper tolerance

I've got 4 thou max between the 8 bores.
Rebore?
Should I deal with this spec and throw in stock size rings (it's only 5 thou over bore at the largest)?
The nearest Federal Mogul overbore size is .030 over, and I've have to rebore for that ($$$).

Thanks

Considering that most pistons like a 0.0015 to 0.0025 clearance, I'd say that you should spend the $$ and get it bored and new pistons and rings. 5 thou is a bit extreme.

.005 is the piston to wall clearence that my forged custom race pistons want and those are always setup loose. I know that some places carry a .020 overbore piston but personally I would go with a .030 overbore because you have a lot more choice on pistons and rings.
