When I looked at it originally he was asking $75 for it. That was a few weeks ago. So there must be some poor fellas that are picking them up. Thanks for the tip on the wastegate. Are there any harmful side effects from unplugging it? The chip made a tremendous difference. I reprogrammed it into the 60hp tow/haul safe mode until I can get my exhaust.
Cat -
Elverson, Morgantown, Chester Springs.... all such a beautiful area. I used to rip up and down on 401 on my street bike. I won't tell you what the weather is like here.... I want to stay on your good side.
I'd be glad you didn't purchase that one Lulu...that thing looks and sounds like a hunk of useless junk. Even from reading the How It Works section, I don't think this guy really even understands how the wastegate works with the turbo. It starts to crack open at 5psi and is usually all the way open at 8psi. Where he's getting the "when the waste-gate sees 16 pounds of boost it overcomes the spring pressure opening an exhaust dump releasing all extra boost into the exhaust stream" is beyond me.
Yea basically - but I think if your boost goes way high it will still blow it open on it's own so that's why it's safe to do. I would imagagine gauges are a must to so this mod just to be safe. I'm waiting to do it until I get my Wicked Wheel in 'cause I already have stutter and I've read that this can make it little worse.
Are you doing the WW yourself Cat? You should be very happy with it from what I've read. Once I get my gauges in I'll try the wastegate trick out. Thanks guys.
