windshield leaking
I have a 92 explorer with a leaky windshield. Glass is fine but leaks around top of seal. Water is coming in under the urethane seal. Anyone know of someone who sells the urethane adhesive to reseal my windshield. I think I can pretty easily cut out the glass as it doesn't appear to be glued in very well. I can softly push out all along the top going down the road and hear air coming in when I press it. Glass installer wants $300 to install new windshield. I told them I didn't need a new glass just to reseal this one. I know that when I take out the old glass that I need to clean up the surfaces good and leave about an 1/8 inch of the old urethane. Apply the primer and new urethane and reinstall. I just need to find someplace to get the primer and ureathane. By the way has anyone else noticed this problem? My 91 Ranger also leaks in the corner above the steering wheel. Looks like where the end of the bead meets the start. Thanks.
