Are you using the 444, the 466 or a custom nozzle on the 466 injectors? How many holes and what diameter?
How much bigger is the plunger and barrel in the 466 injector than the 444.
Whose programming are you using to run them and at what pulse width?
If you are using the stock 466 nozzles, aren't you worried about cylinder wash with the nozzles designed for a larger bore? Or can you overbore a 7.3 block for bigger slugs?
Isn't a DT530 injector the same size as the 444 and 466, why couldn't you just slap in a set of those for some serious fuel, or can you?
Sorry for all the questions, just one more. Have you modified the HPOP in any way to adequately fill the 466 injectors?
I agree, give swamps a call. He has some injectors for the 94-97 trucks that give an incredible out of the box increase in HP. His injectors are $650 with a chip purchase, and the chip is about $500 i think. Give him a call, he is always more than happy to talk on the phone. You can check out there website http://www.swamp-donkey.biz/ I actually went down there and had them do the install, but as long as you know what your doing, you can handle it. And an upgraded transmission is a must, they have started a "wall poll" It has turbo, trans, clutchs, and a new category, head gaskets. Dave (golfer on TDS), blew his headgaskets giving me and my friend a ride, he had 350cc injectors and a modified HPOP in the truck. They just like to keep track of there destruction.
I went from 17 mpg's to 22 mpg's out of the box and more power also. I worked at a KW dealership and we had an International dealership next door, I had them reconfig the computer. As far as if the 530 injector is the same I have no idea, I have yet to actually work on an International other than 444's and 466's, that is how I found out they fit. I have a friend with a 02 and he put them in with out doing any other mods and he also saw an increase in mpg's and power, he then put a chip in (i have no idea which one i am not to keen about them) and he can bark the tires driving down the interstate when he turns it on.
