well today i got around to putting my bbk twin 56mm throttle body on the engine ran good before i switched them but it seems i lost alot of power and it dont run good at all right now any help please its my daily driver
Make sure you dont have any vacuum leaks, it sounds as though you might. Check all your hoses and connections. Also, check the gasket between the throttle body and the intake manifold.
yes i did check the gasket it seems fine all i did was take the old one off and put the bbk on i put all of the old stuff back on it but i did replace the coolant hoses
i just tried takin off the battery cables and no change in it at all i also forgot to say that when i put the transmission in reverse then change it to drive it almost stalls the rpms die down until it stutters what should i try could spark plugs be a cause if they are bad and all the cylinders aint sparking
Did you track down that whistling noise, you could still have some sort of air leak causing the majority of the problem. Was this symtom present prior the TB change? Was the only thing done to the vehicle the TB change when this problem started, that is, if it wasent there before you did this installation?

the noise seems somewhere at the throttle body or around there yes i only changed the tb nothing else the engine ran fine before i changed it now it runs like s***
OK CRAZED. DON'T YOU HAVE A MANUAL? Sorry for the caps. With the throttle body off the intake, turn on ignition and measure the voltage with a digital volt meter, across 2 of the 3 wires, can't remember, maybe black and green. With throttle closed. I guess you don't have to take the TB off to check it, but you will to adjust it. In conjuction with that, while the truck is idling, unplug the IAC and adjust the throttle stop screw (close it) till you get a 'death idle' and motor is about to die. Plug IAC back in. Then check TPS voltage with ignition on, engine off.
