Question for Yeti

I'm about to put 305's or 315's on my truck. i know I need bigger wheels. Would you put 8 or 10 inch rims on 315's and what backspace do you recommend?

only yeti knows? . . . . .

I would say go with the 10".. you never know if your going to go bigger. (or wider i guess that would be).

I run 16x8's on my spare set of 315's.. but that is there only purpose. 16x10 for everything else.

I agree with going with 10" wheels since if you are like most of us you will eventually want to go bigger.

8" wheels would be better if you are trying to fit 35"s tires under a smaller lift since it will keep the tires tucked in more.

As far as the backspacing issue 4.5-4.625"

I'd also recommend going with Welds since they are a hub-centric wheel.....but are a little bit more expensive than the lug-centric knock offs.

Hope this helps.

Take A look in my gallery. I have 315/70-16 on 16 x 10 rims
4.5 back spacing. The tires do spray A little on the side of the truck, but not to bad.

Bordaine,
very nice. I ordered the wheels Friday. Now I'm trying to decide on the rubber.

I have Goodyear ATS on mine. I like them, good traction in rain and snow. pretty quiet on the dry. Much better than the stock tires, Firestone steeltex. I drove around in the rain with the tires spining all the time. This however is my first truck so I have no idea about any other tires. Im sure there are many people on this forum that can suggest good tires for your needs.
